Let me start off with first saying that if you do not like garlic, if you plan to kiss someone who does not like garlic, or if you are on a first date, then these wings are probably notttt for you ✨GARLC PARM STYLE CHICKEN WINGS✨ ohhhh my oh my. These are a pool of garlic-y goodness🙃There is no such thing as too much garlic IMO. Add some cheese🧀 & butter 🧈 to that magical flavor & home run, my taste buds are exploding‼️
One of my favorite foods are chicken wings🍗 More often than not I am always a spicy🔥 girl. When it comes to an app or main course, I will choose a spicy flavor over a sweet flavor almost every time. But these wings are too good not to pick first for once! In addition to all the garlic, the other main ingredient is manchengo cheese. Manchengo is a sheep milk based cheese that has a very similar flavor to parm. I use manchengo a lot bc the flavor is amazing but also because it’s filled with so many extra vitamins & is a lot easier to digest. If you are dairy sensitive this is a good cheese to use!
WHAT YOU NEED FOR WING RUB:
🔸12 organic chicken wings
🔸3 tbsp tapioca flour (can sub for arrowroot)
🔸3 garlic cloves, chopped
🔸1/2 tsp black pepper
🔸1/4 tsp pink salt
🔸1 tsp garlic powder
.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR “SAUCE”
🔸2 tbsp grass fed butter
🔸2 gloves garlic
🔸2 tbsp Manchengo cheese
.
HOW TO:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Next pat dry your wings with paper towel and put wings in a large bowl. In a small bowl mix together everything for wing rub. Next coat your wings in the dry rub. Make sure the wings are fully covered. (You’ll notice the garlic fall to the bottom - that’s ok. It will roast on the baking sheet while the wings cook which is good to be able to add to the sauce later!) Next bake wings for 15 mins. Flip wings and bake for another 15 mins.
.
Once wings are cooked it is time to make the sauce. In a small saucepan, melt butter and add in the additional chopped garlic. Mix the wings in the sauce. Make sure to use all the roasted garlic from the baking sheet! Let simmer for about 3-5 mins, making sure to move the wings around in the saucepan so the butter doesn’t burn. Place wings on a serving platter and pour the remaining “sauce” on top. ENJOY!
