There is nothing I love more than coffee first thing in the morning! I probably drink too mich of it to be honest, but I always say don’t quit the things you love!
Normally I’m a pretty plain coffee drinker, I usually just do a hot coffee in the morning with a splash of oat milk and a dash of cinnamon, but when I need an extra afternoon pick me up, I love to add a little extra flavor to an iced coffee to wake me up!
This iced mocha is my favorite at home iced coffee recipe and ridiculously easy! One day I was watching Will make his coffee and I saw him melting his sugar with hot water. I remember looking at him wide-eyed like what the heck are you doing. He explained to me that he hates having sugar at the bottom of his coffee so he likes to melt it to make it into a syrup form. Well, well, well....he taught me something new and that trick has been a hit ever since!
What You’ll Need:
- 8-10oz of your favorite iced coffee
- ice cubes
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp water
- dash cinnamon
- 1/4 cup oat milk
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the coconut sugar, cocoa powder and cinnamon. Add water to the mix and microwave for 20-25 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir well.
2. Pour iced coffee over ice and add in your mocha mixture and oat milk. Mix well and enjoy!
