When I was younger I used to order a SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH đwith extra mayo (so nasty...đ) a biggie fry đand a frostyđŠfrom Wendyâs. I kid you not. But hey, the heart wanted what it wanted. Fast forward at least 15 years later (maybe more honestly lol - I seriously could not tell you the last time I had fast food or even thought about it tbh) and Iâm still craving spicy chicken sandwiches đ„ except now they arenât from Wendyâs - theyâre #TaylorMade & I swear they taste even better! Theyâre gluten free, dairy free, guilt free and they DEF make you feel a whole lot better!
This sandwich has been a huge hit with me for lunch lately. Prepped, cooked, and plated in less than 30 mins (counting the 20 mins that it is cooking in the air-fryer!) Huge perk of working from homeâŠ.gourmet lunchesđ
WHAT YOU NEED (makes 1 serving - double as necessary):
* 2 organic chicken tenders
* 2 tbsp @bobsredmill oat flour
* 1 serving of @latejulyorganic Spicy Red Chips, crunched up (or your favorite)
* 1 @vitalfarms egg
* 1 tbsp @primalkitchenfoods avocado oil mayo
* 1/2 tbsp pure @fielddayproducts maple syrup
* 1/2 - 1 tsp sriracha
* 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
* 2 slices of Ezekial bread
đ„
HOW TO:
1. Place your oat flour, whisked egg, and crunched chips in separate bowls. Next roll each chicken tender in oat flour, then egg wash, and then crunched chips. Bake in the air fryer at 360 degrees for 20 mins.
2. Meanwhile, mix together mayo, sriracha, maple syrup, and garlic powder and set aside. This sauce will be used to drizzle over the cooked chicken.
3. Toast your bread and add whatever toppings you would like. My go-toâs lately have been mixed greens, red onion, and avocado.
4. Once chicken is cooked, finish making your sandwich and drizzle spicy mayo on top. ENJOY! đ„đđ»
